Reeves Awnings is a third generation family-owned and -operated business, started in 1956 by John and Josephine Reeves. The business, which began in John and Josephine's back shed, was quickly moved just 100 yards from their house to a new structure that still stands today and houses our canvas sewing shop.
John and George, their sons, soon joined in the business. George Reeves was sent at a young age to apprentice with Dean Bennett, a long time awning manufacturer in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. He brought his newly acquired skills back to start making awnings for the small growing company.
John Reeves, Jr. joined the company shortly after returning from the service. John Reeves and Sons Awnings grew steadily over the next four decades, adding customers and employees, and eventually incorporating in 2001 as Reeves Awnings.
Grandsons Edward and John III currently manage the business with the help of a team of skilled installers and fabrication specialists.
Reeves Awnings still carries on the traditional craft of awning manufacturing. Our awnings are all custom-made with a variety of colors, patterns, and styles to choose from. The product line has expanded to include both residential canvas awnings and commercial awnings for seasonal and year-round use.
